MI-EL is having a color day tomorrow to raise money for the class of 2014!

There is no theme tomorrow, so wear whatever is comfortable and school-appropriate. In order to come to school without a uniform, students need to pay $25 pesos. Food will be for sale as well--including Yun Yun, pastelitos, soda, and nachos!

We are ALSO having a compliment party tomorrow! The students have yet again earned another 10 compliment points! To celebrate we are going to have pizza and play games!

The students learned all about Dominican history and the influence of the Spanish settlers. They were also able to take what they learned from the trip and apply it to what we were learning about in Social Studies. We had a great time! Below are some photos from the trip.

Last week, we did an experiment in science class! The students looked at a rock, a coin, and a tissue underneath a hand lens and underneath a microscope. We compared what we saw underneath each tool. The whole class decided they prefered the microscope to the hand lens. Here are some pictures from the day!
